I have operated my boat, “The Bristol Pistol” a six-passenger 30 ft Owens Cabin Cruiser since 1983 from the Foss Harbor Marina in downtown Tacoma.
We fish for salmon and bottomfish year around in the calm protected water of Puget Sound. When fishing for salmon we use downrigger trolling gear, or drift (mooch) with herring or jigging lures.
Most of the local “hotspots” are withing a 30 minute boat ride so actual fishing time is maximized for the best fishing areas of South Puget Sound.
Crabbing is available in season, use my pots or bring your own for additional limits. All fishing equipment is provided unless you have a favorite rod or lure that you prefer to use. Bring it along if you wish.
Plan to dress according to the current weather conditions, and bring rain gear, headgear,and personal items such as cameras, binoculars, sunglasses, sunscreen, lunch, snacks, and cold beverages. Deck area is carpeted so street shoes are adequate footwear. (no leather soles)
